I finished reading this book tonight, but I started it several months (maybe a few years) ago. I looked back at some of the passages I highlighted to refresh my memory. Here is a quote I highlighted:

"If a government promises its citizens food to eat, a place to live, healthcare, and a minimum standard of living throughout their lives, people turn away from religion for their security needs."

Interesting Ideas

While the author presents the issues and solutions clearly, there are times when it seems to be to the extreme or antagonistic. It is not the author's intent, and he repeatedly states such. As with any work of this nature, it's necessary to read with logic and rationality.

Pure dynamite.

Incredible book with many thought provoking ideas on how to defeat religious fundamentalists. Ryan Cragun is definitely my favorite humanist author.

Great Read

A very easy read, great information on how to really get involved with your local secular organizations, or create one.
